Starting in 2025, couples will have the opportunity to elevate their love—literally—by dining in outer space. Thanks to the French agency ApoteoSurprise, known for its extravagant marriage proposals, lovers can now enjoy an intimate dinner aboard a space capsule suspended by a helium balloon 35 kilometers above Earth.

For 750,000 euros, this out-of-this-world experience offers breathtaking views of our planet and a gourmet meal prepared by a Michelin-starred chef, all while floating on the edge of space, according to a press release.

Upon arrival at the spaceport, couples are greeted by a pilot who escorts them to their futuristic, pressurized space capsule. Inside, they will find a table elegantly set, reminiscent of the finest Parisian restaurants, and be introduced to StellarEmbrace, an AI-powered robot created specifically for this adventure. Developed in collaboration with a British startup, StellarEmbrace adds a personal touch, adapting to the emotions and desires of the couple throughout their journey.

The couple’s journey begins with a peaceful two-hour ascent, where they will witness the curvature of the Earth. Only 600 astronauts before them have experienced this view, known as the "overview effect," a cognitive shift that leaves travelers with a deepened connection to humanity.

As the space capsule reaches 35 kilometers above Earth's surface, couples are treated to a five-course dinner paired with wines and champagne, all crafted by a two-Michelin-starred chef. The experience is set to a celestial playlist, featuring iconic tracks like David Bowie's Space Oddity and The Beatles' Across the Universe.

But the meal comes with an extra surprise. Just before dessert, StellarEmbrace hints that the groom-to-be has forgotten something important. At this moment, the robot presents a luminous box, which can only be opened with a secret code. After some playful teasing, the suitor enters the code, revealing a stunning engagement ring. With the boundless backdrop of space, he proposes, offering a love that will truly last an eternity.

After the proposal, the capsule begins its gentle two-hour descent. StellarEmbrace will have recorded every highlight of their space voyage, from takeoff to the proposal, creating a keepsake that will last a lifetime.

ApoteoSurprise has been the go-to agency for spectacular marriage proposals in Paris since 2006. Founded by aeronautical engineer Nicolas Garreau, the company offers 30 luxurious proposal packages, ranging from Cinderella-style moments to grand gestures like love declarations at the Eiffel Tower.
